I can always be sure that there will be a time when I will be completely humbled and this block did it. I had fully intended to redo last night's block today and then move on to today's block, and then I turned the calendar page. Did you hear me let out a loud yelp as I looked in panic at today's block? It is basically a smaller version of Friday's block.
I will say this for it...I feel like I solved the Rubik's cube for the first time without pulling out the corner square and rearranging all the cubes and then putting the corner back in (or taking off the stickers which was more work and never looked right again). I would have redone this had it been earlier in the day, but it is late, and I've had more than enough. I'm going to hang this above my sewing machine to remind me how happy I was to figure out how to get it together and how disappointed I was to see a photo of it! Needless to say I learned a BIG lesson, not every block is for everyone and it is okay to just TURN THE PAGE and move on. This is block number 224 of 366 and it is a 10-inch block. (Smile, I am). Happy Stitching!! --Kristen
