Metro Lattice Update

Whew, it's been a long week spent on this quilt not without struggles.  However, I refused to give up and I am so happy I did.

I finished 22 of 30 blocks this weekend.  The good news is that once you get the hang of the curves they get somewhat easier to sew!  I haven't taken the time yet to lay them all out to see how they look, and I think I will wait until they are all done to do that.

These connector blocks are what gave me trouble this week.  I have sewn, resewn, and recut the fabric.  I could not get them to match points in the centers and on the top and bottom with the cutting instructions given...so, I did it my way and they worked out!  There are only 15 of 98 of these completed, so obviously I still have quite a bit of sewing to do.  I'm at the point now where I don't want to leave the sewing machine because I cannot wait to see them together!  Make sure to check out Cupcakes 'n' Daisies to see the progress of others.  Happy Stitching!!  Kristen

Delicious -- cool, crisp colors. And the block design is very intriguing.

Oh your blocks are wonderful! Made in my favorite colors! I have not tackled curved piecing yet, but need to take the plunge. Happy sewing!

First, your colors really sing to me. And wow, good for you to keep at a challenging quilt. I'm looking forward to other Monday posts to see how you are coming along.
