I just finished this Valentine's embroidery and I did not want it to sit unfinished waiting for Valentine's to roll around again. I also purchased the ruffler foot for my sewing machine and boy is that sweet. You change the setting to how many ruffles you want per stitches and it makes it for you. I think next time I will put a few more ruffles in my ruffle. ;) The pattern for the embroidery is from Bare Roots and was a fun one to stitch. I did change the colors of floss just by picking a color I liked and stitching with it.
Here are the rest of the participants for the Think Ruffles Hop! Thank you Mdm Samm and Amy for all your encouragement!!

What a lovely stitched pillow, the ruffle sets of the colors you used! Thank you for sharing.
What a pretty pillow. Your embroidery work is gorgeous. You did a beautiful job.
Your pillow is lovely with all the embroideries and ruffles!
Well, I read you post at least 3 times. you made ruffles with dental floss??? hihi, these ruffles are surely going to last at least 2 centuries, wink :-))
You cushion is lovely, I love stitching and this one is so bright!
Thanks for sharing
Your pillow is so cute and adorable. Thanks for sharing your beautiful project.
Really cute and great use of the embroidery too.
Your embroidered pillow is very pretty! Using dental floss is a great idea. I make my ruffles by hand and use waxed hand-quilting thread, but dental floss would serve the same purpose! But now that you have a ruffler foot you can save the floss for your teeth lol.
Lovely pillow. Great stitching! I agree...I want to know more about the 8 yards fabric and dental floss...do tell, do tell. :)
Perfect finish for such sweet embroidery. You sure make teeny stitches!
well you are just early for next year….and the stitching and ruffles makes it simply heartfelt
What a sweet little pillow. Great job.
Very pretty pillow! I like your embroidery work--it's beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Nice job! I love Bare Roots projects. I think people are enjoying doing handwork again.

Sweet embroidery on that ruffled pillow...love it! Once I got my ruffler foot I couldn't imagine ruffling anything the old way. :O)
That's adorable!!! I'll be finding me one of these feet it looks like! :) Cute!
So Sweet.
Great way to use your embroidery which is beautifully done. I too love to embroider and a ruffled pillow is a great way to show it.
Nice ideas,
Just too sweet. Suffering from the same "no girls around" thing, makes it harder to ruffle something doesn't it!
How sweet! Your little ruffled pillow is just perfect for a special Valentine!
You do such beautiful embroidery work. I love your pillow!
Sew sweet! The embroidery is lovely and the ruffle adds the perfect touch. I have never used a ruffle foot. I have been enjoying all the ruffles so much that I may have to look into finding one for my machine ... :) Pat

Adorable! What a pretty pillow.
Love the Bare Roots patterns also; have several. Mostly snowmen, and I will often pull an element of one of the patterns for a different project. A ruffle is the perfect way to finish a valentine's pillow.
So cute and congrats on getting it finished!! I always let things like that sit around and end up not having it for next year either!

I love your pillow!
That is so darling, Kristen and a great use of the stitchery piece. Now you are all set for next Valentine's Day.
Had I participated I would have tried making a new dust ruffle for my bed and try out the gathering foot on my serger. I still think I might but it will be for the other bed---different bed frame is in place and I can see the side of the box springs now. Ooops!
Love the beautiful stitching, as well as the ruffles:)
The Valentine embroidery is lovely and the ruffles are the perfect touch!
It is nice when we finish something before the date. I would like to get a ruffler for my machine. My mother had one for her 1947 Singer, but that won't work on my Viking. Thanks for sharing.
What a great Valentine's pillow. You are really ahead of the game for 2015!! You do beautiful embroidery work and the ruffle showcases it wonderfully. I think I'm putting a ruffler foot on my wish list this year. Thanks for participati!!!!
