Well, I Guess I Do Not Really Have An Excuse...

For the last couple of weeks I have kind of been missing in action.  My son and I spent the week before last traveling 1600 miles in the car, and this last week I guess I kind of just had a creative block.  But, I'm back and ready to get to work on some projects that need finishing!

This Schnibbles called Hat Trick has been on my design wall for almost two months.  I was having a little trouble with the four corner triangles and instead of trying to make it work, I just kind of gave up.  I decided last night was it and I was going to get this at least pieced.  All I had to do was add 1 inch to my corner squares, cut them in half, and they were the perfect fit.  I also figured out that by doing that I did not need to adjust my pieced border because it was the perfect length.

How foolish was I feeling once I figured this out?  I was blushing, but I love that it is pieced and ready to be quilted.  Now to get the next one on my design wall and get that pieced.  I'm quite sure after working on this one I am very motivated to finish something else.  Happy Stitching!!  --Kristen

It came out perfect. I will have to remember to increase the block size by one inch and cut diagonally in half. Anyways your quilt is darling and happy!
