You might think that I am suspicious about things when I say I am a suspicious person, but it turns out I am actually a person who is suspicious looking. I know, I have to gasp when I even think about saying that. My son and a friend of his are in a day basketball camp that is close enough to drive to, but too far to drive home again and then pick them up at the end of the day. I, of course, packed my sewing bags and took vacation so that they could attend the camp. Yesterday morning I dropped them off and then parked my car in some shade so that I could start working on one of my many projects.
You can imagine my surprise when I looked up and there was a policeman's car blocking my car (as if I'm going to try to escape). He came up to my window and asked me just what I thought I was doing. I very politely responded...cross stitching?? :) By the look on his face I'm quite sure that was not the response he was expecting. He then proceeded to ask me the usual questions of why I was there, how long I was going to be there, blah, blah, blah. All I could think of is, I have to be the least sinister looking person in the world. SERIOUSLY. I then decided it might look better if I sat on my blanket in the grass and stitched.
As I was working on my projects today I had to giggle a little wondering what that cop would have thought when he asked me what I was doing had I shown him today's projects.
Life is never dull, and honestly, now I have a pretty good story to tell when I go back to work. Happy Stitching!! --Kristen

OMG!!! You've got me laughing so much it hurts. Take it from me.. you don't look suspicious at all and the last time I checked cross stitching wasn't a criminal offence ROFLOL!!! Next time you do it I would suggest not wearing the Ski Mask!!!
Too funny!!
You must have looked really dangerous with that needle in your hand! LOL!
That cop is probably laughing his head off (or some such body part) as he regales his family with the one about the crazy, needle wielding cross stitcher he questioned for loitering in her car. LOL
Oh, my! I'm guessing he questioned you because someone else thought you looked suspicious. Just confirms how times have changed.
THAT is hilarious!!! What a world we live in... thank goodness we're all making it a prettier one with some crafts :)
Someone oviously reported you to cause problems. Because they were just oh so concerned....That is just bizarre. I think I would have been very upset...thats kinda weird don't ya think..
I bet he shook his head all the way back to the precinct. lol
Such a funny story, how could he thinks you look suspicious!! Love your projects.
