Halloween Haunts Blog Hop (And Fat Quarter Shop Giveaway)

Fall is my favorite time of year.  The colorful foliage, the beautiful weather, and all the fun Halloween decorations.  As I've said before, I don't do scary.  I watched all the horrible Halloween movies when I was young and ended up not sleeping for a week at night afterwards.  So, there are no frightening decorations at our house, every pumpkin and candy corn is happy.

I found this candy corn pattern on etsy and as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to make a few for this Halloween Hop.  They were too cute to make just one, and I haven't decided yet whether they are going to be ornaments, fill a basket, or just be cute and hidden in different places around the house.  I love to put little things in places you wouldn't expect to find them as it is always fun when someone discovers one and then hides it somewhere else.  Although we can't do that with too many of them or we don't find them all until Easter. :)

Today for the Hallow Haunts Hop, the Fat Quarter Shop is giving away a $25 gift certificate, but you only have until midnight EST tomorrow, October 29, to enter.  So hurry, I'd love to have you win.

Thanks for not using embedded comments! I love those candy corn pieces - they make a wonderful group with the pumpkin in the middle, but the idea of them hidden around is cute, too. I like happy myself!

Smiling candy corn! Oh, so sweet! They would make great mug rugs or when stuffed with dried beans, you could use them as bean bags in a game. Add magnets and stick
'em on the fridge. So many ideas!

Candy corn is adorable. What a cute idea of placing in different spots to be found. Maybe a little pocket in back could hold a little treat too then be placed in the bowl after found. At my house I would have to write down all the hidie holes or like you we would not find all till Easter.
