Minis and More Parade

It used to be a Schnibble's parade, now it is a Minis and More Parade.  As I'm realizing, I finished a few more Schnibbles than I thought and have quite a few to quilt.  The fun thing about a mini quilt is they don't take long to piece, and they are easy to maneuver when quilting on your sewing machine.

This month's mini is Juniper from Fig Tree & Co.  I thought the diamonds would make this much more difficult to piece (another fun thing, trying new piecing techniques and not making a huge quilt), but honestly the pattern is written so well it was easy.  I tried to use some left over charms for this, which I figured out in short order wasn't going to work, but it is very fat quarter friendly (another plus, you don't need a lot of yardage).  I am still not sure I'm going to add the final border as I'm really liking it without, but if I find the perfect one I may.  I know I'm going to make at least one more because I would like one with lighter and brighter fabrics as this one ended up darker than I realized it would.

There are more quilts to see at A Quilting Life and Island Life Quilts, and there will be another mini to make for next month.  Happy Stitching!!  --Kristen
