If you have been following along with the Moda Love Blog Hop you have seen this pattern used by a variety of different designers. The free pattern was offered and I took them up on it, using a Layer Cake, a couple of fat quarters, and a background fabric.
It took me an hour of cutting and sewing half square triangles last evening and a couple of hours this afternoon to piece this. I added a 3-1/2 inch border to make it bed sized.
I thought it would be fun to use to a "fall" background, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The fabrics are from the One for You, One For Me fabric line by Pat Sloan. Now to figure out which fabric to use for the backing and binding. I'd love to have this finished by the end of this week, the weather has gotten chilly and perfect for a new warm quilt! Happy Stitching!! --Kristen

Beautiful. Have you seen the block that Jan Patek did? She is giving away a kit on her blog (and, of course, she is selling a kit, too!) The embroidered blocks sure make the quilt look different and it is gorgeous - as is yours. Great job!
Yes, that is beautiful, love the orange.
The quilt turned out lovely. Orange is such a fun and interesting shade to use for the background. Have you decided how you want to quilt it yet?
Very pretty. Love the colors!
