KONA Blog Hop

The other night I showed you my half square triangles that I was working on and was bound and determined they would be finished today...well, here they are.

It was a no brainer for me to do this blog hop.  I love Kona fabrics, I love their colors, and I love how I can use them.  I bought 9 fat quarters for this quilt trying to see if on my own I could come up with a gradiation in the color that would make these blocks pop...and in my own mind I think I may have.  I am so excited about this quilt.  My husband was a little upset when I started this and said he would NOT like it...well tonight I loved his reaction to it.  He said this just may be one of his favorite quilts of mine (he would rather I use bright fabrics, and this one fits the bill).  I cannot wait to get it quilted.

Thanks to Madame Samm and Carol for leading us on this hop, and Kona and Auriful for sponsoring it.  Here are the rest of the participants for today.

January 13

Happy Hopping and Happy Stitching!!

Simply STUNNING quilt!!!!!!! I just love this and the way you've used the colors. I really am a bit partial to the black background and bright colors though.
Men. LOL You gotta love them how they make a statement and then have to eat those words. Of course, now you'll have to keep your eye on this quilt because he'll probably try to claim it as his own. Nothing wrong with that though. I love making things that my husband likes so much that he tries to claim them for himself.

Kristen-Love your quilt and your husband's reaction! My husband can't visualize anything and it's very frustrating as we are trying to select tile, paint, etc for a renovation. Fortunately, my daughter has been helpful and is in "my corner." But I understand what you are experiencing. I've learned the older I get, the less I say to him-better for him to wait and find out.
Thanks for sharing.
