Black Tie Boogie Blog Hop

It is the last blog hop of the year, and with that come the roosters.  I was organizing my sewing room a few months ago and found everything to make this quilt, and the fabric even has roosters on it.  I had planned to make this as a picnic quilt, and I think it will work out perfectly.

The weather is not cooperating with picnics right now...as a matter of fact it is snowing outside, but I'm just sure I will love this quilt come next summer.

The pattern pieces are bigger, but they work well with the fabrics.  Another fun finished quilt!  Yay!

Thanks so much for the inspiration from Madame Samm and Vickie for all her wonderful cheerleading!  Here are today's participants.  Happy Stitching!!  --Kristen

Awesome! Your quilt is going to look great on some green grass next summer, hehe. Rain and windy here in northern California. It's ok as we need the rain and I'm ready for cooler weather. Thanks for sharing, super job!

Very cute fabric! Love the star. Makes me want to have some watermelon right now! We finally had some rain yesterday. Don't really know how to deal with snow as I am a native Californian. Thanks for sharing your cute picnic quilt. K-

It will be perfect for springs first outing... of course, you might need to be under it instead of sitting on it. :)

Cute little quilt! I think you'd better have an inside picnic and give it a trial run. Great job!

What fun! I haven't been on a picnic for years. If I had a lovely quilt like yours I think I would just have to pack a lunch and GO!

When I was out this morning it was windy and the air smelled like rain here in N. Alabama. Not conducive to picnics I'm afraid.

That is adorable fabric. No more picnics for most of us for awhile now. We got snow too! :-( But next year, you will be the belle of the picnic ball! :-)

I am sick of winter already - and it's not officially winter yet. A picnic sounds devine and I love that novelty fabric.

Lovely for a picnic and with snow outside you should have a fireplace picnic inside. I love to do that at home (no bugs or ants). Thank you for Black Tie Boogie hopping. Creative Stitching Bliss...

I love the bright red colors and of course the chickens and roosters.
There is no rule that you can not picnic inside, perhaps in front of a warm fireplace?

I am so incredibly late getting around for this hop---on deadline, 3 must get done soon items---but now that I am on the binding I hope to check in on all of you!

What a cool picnic quilt! Good that a sewing room organization yielded what you needed to make the quilt too.
