This is one of those projects that was almost never finished. I took it along to two different basketball camps to work on while waiting for my son this summer. I had the sun completely finished twice, hated it, and pulled it all out. The instructions called for one strand of thread to be used with the punch needle. I did not like the way it looked so I started over and then over again each time hoping I wasn't completely ruining the fabric.
The third time I used three threads and definitely liked the result better. This project was a good reminder for me that I don't always have to follow the pattern (definitely a problem when you were a little girl who always followed the rules)! It is a sunny and cool day here, a little reprieve from the heat and humidity that we are in for again this weekend, and I'm thinking the perfect opportunity to work on hexies in the swing in the back yard. Happy Stitching!! --Kristen

Very pretty......
Love the colors and so glad you kept working at it until you liked the results. It's the same for me in my embroidery work.........however, when I was a little girl, I always changed colors and designs in embroidery........and loved it! LOL Are you going to make a pillow with this?
Beautiful, I love the colors and the way it turned out.
You did well to keep going, it is a beautiful finish! Love the colours and design.
Your vision turned out beautifully.
Very nice. I love your sun. Have you considered making your own rules? Just because the person who made the kit liked it one way, doesn't mean you will too. I have edited patterns in the past to create new variations that I love.
Thanks for the inspiration. Sometimes when things don't come out right the first time, I give up. You did such a nice job with this. I really like our color choices
