All the triangles are now coming out from the middle to the edges in the right direction...and I could sleep last night after getting it all back together (I should say at 2:30 a.m. this morning). Now to get the borders on and get to work quilting this. Not all is lost, I always, always, always learn from my mistakes (whether I want to or not!) :) Happy Stitching!! --Kristen

If At First You Don't Succeed....Tear, Tear Again!
In my excitement for getting the first 188 pieces together I did not notice that the star points had a little problem. Imagine my disappointment when I looked at it and noticed that there was an error on my part that required quite a lot of seam removal, replacement of pieces, and eventually some resewing.

Oh I hate it when that happens.
oh dear, it is so frustrating to have to do a bunch of ripping out to fix a mistake! but it was soooo worth it, your star is looking fantastic!
It is beautiful! I am like you - I'd rather remove seams and fix something, than wasting all that time and fabric. Awesome design!
This looks like a quilt worthy of a "re-do"... we all have this happen and I feel your pain!
It will be a worthy redo! Good luck with it!
I hadn't even noticed it in the previous post, amazing what your eye misses! Looks wonderful.
I didn't notice either. Funny how we can look at something for so long and not see the problem. But post it and it is glaring. I did that with a jewel box quilt not long ago. Still a gorgeous block!
It looks beautiful...
Looking good! I hate having to learn from my mistakes...it happens a lot :)
It looks great!
Your block is wonderful! So many pieces! I have done some really doozies of mistakes myself Usually because I was tired or preoccupied.
