Once again it is time for the
Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day (week). I'm so excited because I have found something so fun to giveaway that I actually had to purchase two...one for me and one to give away.
I love hexagons and this book has a whole chapter on bags and little quilts made with hexagons.
There are pin cushions and other sweet little projects that would be so fun to give as gifts or keep for yourself.
Yes there are quilt patterns and there are some rather unique projects (not all using hexagons) that I have to ask myself, why didn't I think of that?
I am wanting to get started on that hexagon bag right now, because of course I have a couple of extra hexagons sitting around that would just love to be made into that bag. I don't know what my mothers day entails, my husband and my boys usually plan the day for mothers day and then the boys and I plan the day for fathers day :) They love it!

My special memory of my mother is the family weekend celebration for her 80th birthday.

It's not Mothers Day here in the Uk, but it is just before my birthday so in our house it kind of is Mothers Day! I'm hoping we can head up into London and go and visit Tate Modern this Sunday.

Mother's day means sending flowers from far away :(
I expect to spend Mother's day at church and then at home with my family.
I plan on having fun with my family and get some sewing time in as well.
I will be invaded by the pitter patter of little feet this weekend and loving every minute
I don't think there's anything special planned (my daughter's only two so it would be up to Daddy), but at least a trip to my in-laws was cancelled so I can spend it at home. Hopefully some gardening and crafting time can be found!
