Stash Report

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to hang all the bedding outside on the clothes line.  The bedrooms smelled heavenly last night.  It was a warm spring-like day, and then today we had more snow.  It seems the weather is having a hard time deciding if it is winter or spring.  I hate to complain about it since there is nothing I can do about it, but I could really use some days that look and feel a little more like spring.

I made a lot of pom poms this weekend.  I can get about 10 of the large sized ones out of one large skein of yarn.  I figured if it isn't going to be sunny out, I might as well make a little sunshine of my own. I still have quite a few more to make.

The 1500 pack of 1/2" hexagons arrived yesterday.  Now I can start basting again!!  The glue pen is ready and all the little squares of fabric are cut and ready to go.  If the soccer and softball fields ever dry out I should have plenty of waiting time to sit and stitch hexagons.

Stash Report

Used this Week: 12.25 yards
Used year to Date: 14.75 yards
Added this Week: 0 yards
Added Year to Date: 10 yards
Net Used for 2013: 4.50 yards

I haven't posted a stash report for a while, but I have finished quite a few quilts...so, it looks like I have used more than I have this past week.  The good news, for the first time since starting to report my "stash used" I have more used than purchased.  :)  YEAH!  There is hope for me!!!  Happy Stitching!!  --Kristen

What a good idea to do a stash report. I am afraid mine would just depress me and I would need to purchase more fabric to feel better! Lol

Good Morning Kristen, Congratulations on using more material from your stash than material you have bought. The trouble is, I think for me, it is easier to stay away from material shops because I am always tempted, as I was when I visited Cotton Street in India.
Have a lovely day.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Your pompoms look very pretty, what are you going to make with them?

I love the blog hops! I am curious about your hexagons. do you glue them onto the hexagon papers? And if so, is it difficult to remove them later?
