Snow Crystals

Well, this 16-inch block is finally finished and not without a few redo's.  There were quite a few lessons learned with this one.

1.  If you are changing the colors of the block from what is shown in the pattern and there are over 100 pieces, consider marking your pattern with your color change, ESPECIALLY if you go from blue/green to orange/yellow.

2.  Take pictures and look at your block on the computer, if there is a problem it will be glaring on the screen.

3.  If your husband looks at it and doesn't say anything, that probably means there is something wrong. :)

Do I still love this block, I sure do.  Will I piece another one...not for a very long time.  What am I going to do with it, probably put it right in the middle of a king sized quilt.  :)  The count is 4/366 today.  I haven't turned the calendar yet to see what is up for January 5, and I'm not going to until 5 a.m. tomorrow morning.

I'm linking today with WIP Wednesday and 13 Woodhouse Road and I'm going to bed.  Happy Stitching!!  --Kristen

You've done a fantastic job, I'm sure the redos were worth while judging by the end result. :)

That's a beautiful block. When I looked at it, for a moment it looked like the background pieces were some kind of newspaper print. I thought that was neat, but I see it's a very delicate white print that is really lovely as well. Nice work.

So lovely and precise! The way you arranged the floral fabrics is gorgeous too.
